Palace of Versailles (last December 29, 2010)

We decided to go to the Palace of Versailles in day the fourth day of our travel.
We found an information about the entrance ticket to enter the Palace on a Japanese guide book.
that It was said says there we can get discounts tickets in the station both for riding train and entering the Palace.
So we were looking looked for a wicket in a station near our hotel. But the wicket was closed...

Involuntarily No choice, we bought our train tickets by/in a ticket-vending machine.

The train ran parallel to the Seine river.

It took about 30 minutes to get to the Palace of Versailles.
The extensive land was appeared when we turned a cornner and then we proceed to going there.

There are Outside the palace everything is nomal , life, normal roads and many cars outside of the Palace. around.

The building was huge and greatly flamboyant. I can't believe that Louis ⅩⅣ had lived in there.
I should take a bicycle inside the building if I will live there.

There were many art object collections in there.

I was surprised that there are not corridors in the middle of the building.
Many rooms were connected by doors. And an audio guidance said each rooms has different roles.
How could they use these rooms at the same time? There is no privacy in that palace.

Usually they use this place just for corridor.
Sometimes it was changed to a party room.  How gorgeous it was !

I had a trouble after we left the main building and had a lunch.
I had lost two tickets(for me and my husband) to enter the other part of the building. That was "Domain de Marie Antoinette"... I was very sorry to my husband.. We spent a time outside to wait for our friends

But I loved that the view.

We could go anywhere in the garden.

Can you see the main building in the center of this picture?
There is a big cross shaped pond at in the front of the building.

And I turned around ... I couldn't see the end of the pond.
The palace garden had has a fantastic view ♪

Some birds were relaxing there. Happy looking birds.

How can we did they do like this?  Everywhere had a the trees form a very straight line by trees.

Can you see some upside down ice cream cones behind us?

The travel was like a quest.  Everyone's shoes got wet due to the snow.
But I was comfortable because my shoes was are waterproof. that It was a birthday present from my husband in my last birthday(o^^o).

Walk around in Paris (last December 28,2010)

We decided just one destination "Notre Dame Cathedral" before we left the Hotel and walk around Paris streets.

We accidentally found a beauty salon that is famous in Japan accidentally. My husband really wanted to cut his hair have a haircut before the we travel here in Paris. We entered the shop and asked a the staff how much is does the cost for men's cut haircut cost
That was not so expensive but her cut skill was nice were awesome!!!

Before he cut his hair.the haircut.. too long.

And then...

Oh, I was waiting for him like this with tea and some French magazines♪

Finished(*^_^*) How cool he is He looks so cool !

There are some beautiful churches in the middle of Paris.

We found "Churros". I love Churros♪We bought 1 cup of churros with chocolat.
That taste was amazing taste(^-^)/

Finally we arrived at "Notre Dame Cathedral" but the Cathedral has a long queue so we gave up to enter entering the Cathedral and instead we went back to our Hotel through the other using another way.

This narrow street was bustling with many foreign restaurants.

On the way we visited a modern department store like similar with Japanese one shop. We bought an orange colored cushion was colored orange with frog's leg??? and an orange juice carton.
We found a nice Japanese restaurant on our way about one hour after we restarted to walking.
That meal The taste of the dishes was good taste , enough to full of our stomach and also it is very cheap.
We have eaten Japanese food everyday in Paris(^-^)/

Louvre Museum in Paris (last December 27,2010)

I am sure I had known the name of Louvre Museum before I visited there. But I didn't know such a huge place. That was looks like Maze and it had so many art displays, people. Awesome!!!
Actually Louvre  has so many rooms. We spent there for many hours.
I saw beautiful pictures, old furnitures, and sculptures in there.

I like a grate garden more than inside of huge building. and shopping !!!
I am not sure but really feel something bad about the museum.
I prefer staying outside because there is a huge garden.
The huge garden was covered with snow in front of the museum and it was so nice.
And there are some new modern shops under the museum.

That is why I couldn't cannot have a fun time so much inside of there enjoy inside the museum because of headache.
I am thinking why I had a headache there. I also had a headache in the Palace of Versailles.
Maybe I am weak the smell of oil color or old building... That is not good...

Before going to the museum...
We left our hotel after Japanese breakfast and went to the Museum on foot. It took about ... maybe one hour. We went through beside of the Eiffel.

There was a gate in the entrance of the Museum. That name of the gate is "Arc de Triomphe du Carrouse".
Sorry. I can't read the name.

This is the building of the Museum. What a huge and beautiful building !!!

These pictures are inside of the Museum.

How Why do you think about that it is crowded ? with people. The answer is ...

"Mona Lisa" Everybody knows that name. I can watch it through my video camera's finder with zoom.

I don't remember the name of the statue.
How Why do you think where was I hide hid this a part of the statue? The answer is...

??? baby ??? Oh, I should check the meaning of this statue's mean out...

We went shopping and had a dinner in the "Sapporo Ramen" in Paris after we leave. walk out(exit).
And then we went back to the Hotel through the Christmas Markets in the "Av.des Chams-Elysees".

The ferris wheel was in the at "place de la Concorde". Many people were standing in a queue in the cold...

We could see many little white shops were located on both sides of the "Av.des Chams-Elysees".

My friend suggested me, to drink a hot wine in there. It was the my first time to drink that for me kind of wine. It  took made me to be rise in my temperature rise and my temper TEMPER!!! Nice suggestion♪

First day of travel to Paris(last December 26, 2010)

From December 26 to 30, we We went on a trip to Paris with our friends from December 26 to 30.
At first we planned to go to London by National Rail. But two days before the first travel day we knew the National Rail won't run on Christmas day (25th) and boxing day(26th).  (∋_∈)
We had to change our plan...we booked a parking near St. Pancras (International Rail Station) before we left. Fortunately, we could get to there by car without trouble.
And then we got to Paris by Eurostar♪

There is the St Pancras International Train Station in part of this building.
It looks like a castle, isn't it? I don't know if the building has some offices or something.
It was really beautiful building !!!

It was a terrible  terribly cold day. But we had plenty of times in there.
We left our house not a little fast time earlier than usual because we thought the road will be overcrowded.

Inside of the St. Pancras was not so huge The station was not as big as I thought but it was new and clean.
Inside the station We we decided to spend a time in a warm cafe and ate our breakfast(o^^o)♪

There are were so many people were waiting for depart Eurostar while we were waiting for our train's (Eurostar) departure because the day it was boxing day.

Almost all of the England's train is older than Japanese one. Eurostar was no exception.

The seats are like this. It was clearn and not so old.  We also had also a table.

They are our good friends(o^^o) We had a great fun time with them.

It takes only two and half hours from London to Paris.
I knew the train went into the tunnel and I thought it would be more exciting ... but that was ... actually just another tunnel with some lights.

Finally ! We're in Paris !!!

We made the switch to / transferred in the "underground"(subway). That was not under the ground its just subway.

At first I saw this view of the Paris. This was my first view of Paris. I couldn't feel what is the different difference from between England and Paris. / I couldn't feel what is it's difference from England.
But I felt some things in the evening or later...

We took a walk to the Eiffel Tower after we arrived in our Hotel.
We could see the Eiffel from our room.
What a an awesome view !!!

Sometimes the lights of the Eiffel was changed to be twinkling suddenly twinkle.
It was difficult to took a picture. Can you image imagine of that?

We saw many people who were selling some very small stationary articles of Eiffel Tower or some toys. Smaller stationary article of Eiffel was only one Euro... Just one Euro.
And they They stood close to each other even though they are for sell selling the same goods.
How many stationary articles should they sell ... ? I saw a part of Paris in this night.
