London

I went to London several times but I had not done sightseeing until then.
My friend gave me a chance to do sightseeing. We saw a lot of famous places.
(*^_^*) A performer made a posture. That was nice !
I saw the ceremony of the royal wedding on TV. There were so many people in front of the gate.
We went there before the ceremony so I understood where the royal family in or through, pass the place.
We had an afternoon tea for every lunch during we stayed together.
A man who is in a garden in front of a palace was feeding to the squirrel directly.
He can gather up them by calling them. He is amazing.
That was really nice trip with my friend.  See you next year.

We got lost ... again !!!

We stayed the Swan Hotel in Bibury with my friend in February. We wanted to walk around in this area so we got a map in the hotel and started to walk.
We asked the right way to an old man at first. And then we kept going to walk to believe our flair.
We already walked around one hour.
However we couldn't find the sign or road that the map said.
We found several cars to pass us... We thought they are busy because the speed was very fast.. But I could see a car driver watched us so I decided to got my hands up and I asked them to help us.
The man and the woman read their map, and then they picked we up and carry to the right point  on the map. They were very kindness♪
And then we kept going the way...
We could get the sign.
Almost of the view is in a state of nature.
And then we enter the way in the field...
We met a man with a dog so we asked the correct way to him. We lacked confidence in our flair...
"Is this right way?" anytime we asked to ourself. There were two ways but one of them were all wet.
The view was so nice. Nobody in there, just I and my friend.
We worried about our shoes... Our height was a little bit higher than usual due to mud.

When we tried to take off the mud from our shoes, we met a lady who ride a horse. She was cool.
And then we kept going the way... not way... just field...

At least we found the road. It was long long walk.
I thought the map is lacking in detail for Japanese.
And I want to go there in summer if I have another chance. The view must be better than this picture.

I felt so happy to get many people's kindness. Thanks a lot (^-^)ノ~~

we got lost at the Cotswold way

There were many "foot pass" in UK and we can through easily walk these "foot pass" anytime.
When I visited the Cotswold with my friend, we tried to walk on a "foot pass" = " Cotswold way" with  a map.
I visited here in February.
However, "foot pass" foot passes are is not only paved roads but also just field trails like one shown in this picture.
Before we set foot on the trail, We we thought it was awesome !!! before we walked on the field.
It was a rainy day so the field was squidgy.
We just kept going the on walking on our way on following the map and recording with our video camera.
The view was very nice from the top of the hill.
But ... the way was very scared scary because of the marshy soil ... the way is not flat hilly and marshy so it was so hard to take each steps. We couldn't take a picture or video at that time.
After we got through the terrible way, we could see saw a rainbow.
And then it was getting dark and the rain began got a little heavier.
And then... we got lost the our way... we couldn't find the sign that says ,"foot pass" or "Cotswold way".
We said to each other "where is here?""which way should we go?"
We couldn't find a person anyone...  Reluctantly we went back to the same terrible way(ーー;)

Watch the Cricket

Our personal trainer of from the fitness club invited us to watch the a Cricket match
He got these tickets from a professional cricketer. So the tickets were for Players & Officials.
It was a little rainy and cold that day. However, we could enter the member's area with roof.
the audience's area was covered. Lucky♪♪♪
Our trainer taught us about the rules of "20-20". He said there are several styles and
"20-20" is one of the game style...

Actually I was very sorry I couldn't understand all about the rules (ーー;)
But I was happy I can was able to watch the cricket match . He is a nice person!!! thanks to our nice personal trainer.

Stonehenge

These are some pictures of the famous English Heritage, Stonehenge!!!
We can get there around 30 minutes by car.

What a beautiful sunshine!!!

A The guidebook says that the monument was begun around 3000 BC in the late Neolithic period and evolved until around 1600 BC in the middle of the Bronze Age. It is aligned with the rising and setting of the sun at the solstices, but its exact purpose remains a mystery.

There was a one-way road around the stone... but

We didn't get in there enter anymore because we could see them from anywhere have a nice view from a far and we wanted to go to the other tourist spot too.

We have many heritages in Japan. But those are in the housing estate or in close of the living space.
However the Stonehenge was in a huge place. I was very surprised that I could watch them from a distance at first.

Salisbury

I went to the Salisbury Cathedral with my husband's and my friend, she who is a visitor from Japan , and my husband last February. That It was a huge and beautiful 13th century Cathedral.

The In the cathedral , has there is a tower. It was which is 123 m. meters high.
There was a tower tour but we couldn't take it because the tour time was finished. over.

The celling was so high and it has beams curving an amazing from one side to the other, making an amazing form. I like the soft  pink and peach colors of the celling.

There were many big stained glasses.
I thought the cathedral had several different impression at each part.
But there were no partitions or walls between each part.
Maybe each stained glasses make each part different impression.
There were various stained glasses giving different moods and impressions.
Though the cathedral had no partitions, I felt like going to different rooms at that time.

According to the pamphlet, the The cloisters is are the largest of any cathedral in Britain.

It was a fine day!!! We took a walk a in the town near the cathedral.

My home town , Kyoto , has many traditional temples. But but I was not so interesting interested in them.
It was the nomal things that these were in my town , I through beside the temple everyday for me.
I was so used to/accustomed seeing those temples in my town since I passed by them everyday on my way to school.
If I live in this town for a long time, maybe I will be feel the same as I lived in Japan.

The distinction of the among architectures or and cultures makes gives me different a unique feeling.
